NEW YORK, January 3, 2024 – New Yorkers seeking to soak up the best wines from Burgundy need go no further than the January slate of lavish wine dinners, curated by Pressoir, the team behind the premier French wine festivals La Fête Du Champagne, La Tablée and La Paulée. Tickets are now available for the January wine experiences, consisting of a  pop-up dinner and a walk-around tasting, each providing access to wines from rarefied collections and cellars paired with the cuisine of New York’s finest restaurants.

January’s Pressoir events are a precursor of what’s to come during the acclaimed La Paulée festival, the world’s premier celebration of Burgundy wines, taking place this February 22-23 in New York City.

With a passionate mission to transport guests to the vibrant regions of France’s most distinguished wineries, the team behind Pressoir believes that unforgettable experiences happen when the best wines from the finest estates and most talented winemakers are brought together with a dedicated community of wine enthusiasts in a setting infused with generous spirit. With this mission in mind, Pressoir has curated exclusive dinners and tastings that showcase acclaimed wineries and New York’s award-winning restaurants.

PRESSOIR DINNER: CHAMBOLLE-MUSIGNY AND BONNES-MARES

Thursday, January 18, 6:30-9:30pm

If the wines of Burgundy are known for their elegance and finesse, the village that might best illustrate that sophistication is Chambolle-Musigny. The name itself suggests refinement, and its famous climats like Sentiers, Les Amoureuses, Bonnes Mares sound like poetry. Join Pressoir for an exquisite wine dinner and enjoy some of the best Pinot Noir on the planet.

PRESSOIR APÉRO: GEVREY-CHAMBERTIN

Tuesday, January 30, 6-7:30pm

The mythical village of Gevrey-Chambertin is where Pinot Noir finds its most brooding and powerful voice in all of Burgundy. The intricate topography around the village offers a deeply educational study of the appellation so Pressoir has chosen different angles for this Apéro (short for apéritif, this is a walk-around style of tasting before a meal). Guests will explore verticals of vintages to showcase the impact of the year on a given vineyard, tended by the same producer, and will taste some superb examples of wines made around the famous Combe de Lavaux, including the one and only “Clos-Saint-Jacques.” In addition, Pressoir will delight attendees with three Grand Cru bottlings from top producers.
