Peace, Love and Wine; Introducing a Groovy New Brand – Acidity Trip

Cool-climate, acid-forward, food-friendly Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc

November 15th – Introducing Acidity Trip, wines sourced from grapes grown in the cool, coastal growing regions of California. Acidity Trip offers crisp, food-friendly acidity, making the Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc wines able to harmoniously pair with diverse, globally inspired flavors.

“Acidity Trip embodies a spirit of adventure, of travel, of wanderlust. In seeking to capture that feeling and attitude, we crafted wines with acidity to complement a wide range of cuisine, flavors and styles.” said winemaker Eric Aafedt.

The colorful and whimsical label design, along with the “Acidity Trip” name, embraces a message of fun, adventure and carpe diem. For those who remember the late-1960s and 70s, Acidity Trip’s nostalgic imagery is reminiscent of the thin-rimmed sunglasses, tambourines, and flower power movement that dominated the counterculture. For millennials and Gen-Z, combining the coolest parts of their parent’s generation with a spirit of van-life adventure and finding their place in the world dovetail with the winery’s exploration of cooler vineyards adjacent to the rugged cliffs and beaches of Northern California’s coastline.

“We chose vineyards along the Central Coast and North Coast, where the Pacific ocean’s influence enables the grapes to achieve full ripeness while maintaining a healthy acid structure,” said vineyard guru Chris Smith. “When you are seeking food and wine pairing nirvana, acidity is everything.”
