Need a stunning landscape image of Oregon vineyards, a winemaker at work, or vineyard stewards bustling through harvest? Oregon Wine Board’s got you covered.

Portland, OR, November 15, 2023 – Visitors to Oregon often remark on how beautiful the state’s vineyards are, but attaining professional photographs of Oregon wine country has been difficult for stories, blog posts and social media. Until now. Armed with partial funding through Travel Oregon’s Wine Country License Plate Grant, the Oregon Wine Board (OWB) has launched an ambitious project that has captured and posted more than 1,000 scenic photos from winemaking regions in each corner of the state.

The new OWB Media Library, available here on the OWB pressroom, and here on CrowdRiff, makes the difficulty of sourcing photos a thing of the past. Not to mention attaining photo credit and usage, which is all listed cleanly and clearly next to each photo.

Another helpful aspect of the new OWB Media Library is that it goes two ways; wine industry members may now upload their great images to be used by anyone. While this tool will mostly be used for specific solicitations, such as when OWB needs harvest images for particular stories, curating self-submitted photos can be a gamechanger for wineries seeking visual publicity.

Conducted and curated by OWB’s Director of Marketing Neil Ferguson, the work of top photographers was summoned, as our state’s premium wine industry demands the finest photography talent. On display in the new media library is the work of notable photographers John Valls, Carolyn Wells Kramer, Aaron Lee, Michael Howard and more.

OWB plans to continue adding new photos to the collection over time to meet the needs of press as well as regional winery associations and tourism partners.

While the OWB Media Library will operate as a secure password-protected site, current users can bypass the log in and account creation prompt on the Crowdriff page prompt.
