The top lot of the sale was 2 bottles of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Romanée-Conti 1991 from The Quintessential Modern Cellar, which fetched an impressive $32,500. Additional outstanding results were achieved for Dom Pérignon 1969, with 3 bottles selling for $4,000, more than three times its low estimate. A full case of Château Margaux 1986, which sold for $6,875, nearly four times its low estimate, additional notable results include 4 bottles of Château Mouton-Rothschild 1982, which realized $7,500, also selling for nearly four times its low estimate.

Chris Munro, Head of Department, Americas Fine Wine & Spirits, commented: “Very strong results were achieved for both our two featured collections as clients from around the globe competed for the great wines of the world with exceptional provenance. We witnessed strong bidding for mature Bordeaux from classic vintages from the eighties and nineties. Champagne also continues to perform well with record prices seen for mature vintages of Dom Pérignon. These strong results reflect our ability to source the very best wine collections with great provenance and present them in an expertly curated sale.”
