October 25th – On November 19, Star Wine List will celebrate the great wine lists of the Baltic countries, and the teams behind them, for the very first time. The international sommelier jury has now evaluated all the lists that entered the competition, and today we present the finalists.
Star Wine List of the Year is a celebration of the great wine lists in the world and the teams behind them. In the Baltics, the prize is awarded in eleven categories, and the winner in several categories will also qualify for the International Final in 2024. The jury is done deliberating, and the finalists have been selected.
Star Wine List of the Year Baltics will be held during the Food and Wine Festival in Tallinn on Sunday 19 November, in cooperation with the Baltic sommelier associations.
For the first time, the best Portuguese wine lists are awarded, presented by Symington Family Estates. Sustainability has gotten its own category as well, and Nyetimber joins as partner for the Best Sparkling Wine List category. And like always, the best Austrian wine lists are also recognized.
About the jury
The jury for the Star Wine List of the Year Baltics 2023 comprises four renowned sommeliers: Julie Dupouy-Young, Heidi Mäkinen MW, Piotr Pietras MS and Paz Levinson.
