Hotel SLO’s 2nd Annual “Autumn Soirée 2023: The SLO Way” Wine & Food Festival to Take Place Saturday, November 11

San Luis Obispo’s Premier Luxury Boutique Property Celebrates Winemakers and Harvest Bounty of the Central Coast

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (October  19, 2023) – Hotel San Luis Obispo, a luxury boutique hotel in the heart of San Luis Obispo’s vibrant downtown, will present its 2nd annual “Autumn Soirée 2023: The SLO Way” wine and food festival, to be held in celebration of the region’s winemakers and harvest bounty, on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 5-8 pm at the property’s Garden Courtyard.

The event features tastings from the Central Coast’s most acclaimed wineries paired with delectable creations courtesy of Executive Chef Ryan Fancher and his team from the property’s two onsite restaurants, the Michelin-recognized modern steakhouse, Ox + Anchor, and Piadina, which offers a California take on Italian cuisine. The elegant affair also includes delicious bites from San Luis Obispo’s top eateries, unique live performances and art installations, a wine wall, and a silent auction.

“Autumn Soirée 2023: The SLO Way” participating wineries include Adelaida, Austin Hope, Biddle Ranch, CADRE, CASS Winery, Center of Effort, Claiborne & Churchill Winery, Colori Wines, DAOU, Des Par Ada, Field Recordings, Hermon Story, Laetitia Vineyard & Winery, LeVigne Winery, Linne Calodo, McPrice Myers, Qupé, Sextant, Tablas Creek Vineyard, Talley Vineyards and Tolosa. Participating restaurants and purveyors include Earth and Oven, Linnaeas, Mello Land & Cattle, Morro Bay Oyster Company, Nosotros Tequila & Mezcal, Ohana Bros Island Style Snack Company, Ox + Anchor, Piadina, Sichuan Kitchen SLO, The S’mores Cart, Tsar Nicoulai Caviara, Wild Fields Brewhouse and Wren.

The event also features art installations from nationally acclaimed artist Alisa Sikelianos-Carter, whose exhibition In Space and Splendor opens at The San Luis Obispo Museum of Modern Art on November 18, and Alice Sutro, who will present a live larger-than-life projection portraiture; fire dancing by artist Lily Grace Quirk; live music by IMUA; a Wine Wall Pull; and a silent auction including items like an Ernie Ball Music Man Luke III Gasoline Guitar, a Sonoma Getaway featuring a two night stay at Hotel Healdsburg and dinner at Charlie Palmer’s Dry Creek Kitchen, an instant Autumn Soirée wine cellar, and an exclusive private dinner hosted by Chef Ryan Fancher in Ox + Anchor’s beautiful Wine Library.

Following the event, guests are invited to mingle with the chefs and winemakers at an after-party held at Hotel SLO’s S. Low Bar lounge featuring local tastes by Ohana Bros, pizza from Piadina, beer courtesy of Wild Fields Brewhouse, and Nosotros Tequila & Mezcal, plus music from the DJ duo, the Chromatic Cats.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Hotel SLO’s Uncork Potential Scholarship Fund (Cal Poly)SLO Food BankSan Luis Obispo Museum of Art and the Fund for Vineyard and Farm Workers.
