Sebastopol, CA (October 11, 2023) – Marimar Estate Vineyards & Winery, the Catalan-Inspired estate nestled in the heart of Russian River Valley, is delighted to announce an exquisite art pop-up event showcasing custom creations by Marina Solé. Her artwork will be displayed in the tasting room from November 1st through November 15th, 2023, offering guests a unique opportunity to explore and purchase custom oil prints, canvas tote bags, and notecards inspired by Marimar Estate.
Marina Solé is a talented female entrepreneur, artist, and fashion designer originally from Barcelona, now based in San Francisco. She is known for her captivating artwork that turns ordinary, empty spaces, into artisanal objects that express and move feelings. She creates a range of art, including collages, pen illustrations, and oil paintings.
The Marimar Estate x Marina Solé partnership is a creative collaboration of women with the purpose to design a joyful and artistic event for their customers, guests, and newcomers. Marimar Torres and Marina Solé each have a deep connection to Catalonia, where they were born and raised. Both women have proudly woven their memories and visions from home into their respective endeavors in Northern California.
To celebrate this exceptional collaboration and women’s entrepreneurship, Marimar Estate will host three open houses on Thursday, November 2nd, Friday, November 3rd and Saturday, November 4th from 3:00PM to 5:00PM. Join us for the chance to meet Marina Solé herself, sip Marimar Estate wines by the glass, and shop the custom art collection – just in time for the holidays. Guests who cannot make it to the open houses, can still explore and purchase Marina Solé’s artwork during wine tastings booked at Marimar Estate November 1st – 15th. This unique pop-up is the perfect opportunity to shop wine and art for holiday gifting.
About Marimar Estate
Marimar Estate Vineyards & Winery, named after proprietor Marimar Torres, sits on the rolling hills of Green Valley in the Russian River Valley, Sonoma County. Originally from Spain, Marimar grew up as a fourth-generation member of the Torres Spanish winemaking family and moved to San Francisco in 1975. She began planting the Don Miguel Vineyard in 1986 and in 1992 she built the winery in the style of a traditional Catalan farmhouse. All wines are produced from estate fruit. She currently cultivates 80 acres spread over two vineyards near the Pacific Ocean, in the West Sonoma Coast and Russian River Valley AVAs. The winery and houses on the property are 100% solar powered. Both vineyards as well as the winery are certified sustainable by the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance. Marimar’s daughter, Cristina, now works alongside her as General Manager.
