On October 9, Star Wine List of the Year celebrated the great wine lists in Ireland for the first time. The Grand Prix was won by Bar Pez in Dublin, and they also won the categories Best Short List and Best Newcomer List.
October 9th – “I want to come here to drink! That sums up the great attractiveness of this fun, original and highly curated wine list,” says jury member Veronique Rivest about the Grand Prix winner Bar Pez’s list.
Star Wine List of the Year is a celebration of the great wine lists in the world and the teams behind them. The prize was awarded in ten categories, and the winners in each category got a Gold Star and are also qualified for the international final (to be held in June 2024). The event was held in Waterford City Council, Waterford, during the Sommit Ireland.
Bar Pez won three gold and both 64 Wine and Monty’s of Kathmandu won two gold each. For the category Sustainable Wine List the gold was shared between Daróg Wine Bar and The Pear Tree Café & Wine Bar, both in Galway.
