Napa Valley: “California Wine Exports—How the Export-Import Bank Can Increase CA Wine Sales”
Yountville, CA – September 26, 2023 – Reta Jo Lewis, Chair of the Export-Import Bank (EXIM) of the United States, will speak on how the Export-Import Bank can help wine producers reach consumers around the world at the World Affairs—Napa Valley program on Thursday, October 5 at 5:30 pm at the Yountville Community Center 6516 Washington Street, Yountville, CA.
The Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) is the official export credit agency of the United States. EXIM is an independent Executive Branch agency with a mission of supporting American jobs by facilitating the export of U.S. goods and services.
When private sector lenders are unable or unwilling to provide financing, EXIM fills in the gap for American businesses by equipping them with the financing tools necessary to compete for global sales, which levels the playing field for U.S. goods and services going up against foreign competition in overseas markets.
Lewis, President and Chair of the Board of EXIM is a senior executive with over 25 years of leadership experience in international affairs, legal, public policy, business and regulatory affairs, and subnational diplomacy.
Lewis will be joined by Honore Comfort, Vice President of International Marketing at Wine Institute, the only U.S. organization advocating for wine at the state, federal and international levels.
The presentation will be followed by a wine reception and silent auction. Tickets are $40 online here: World Affairs Napa Valley or $45 at the door. Members, teachers, and students are free.
