Over 450 award-winning wines and foods showcase the bounty of the region

SANTA ROSA, CA – August 29, 2023 — Taste the best of Sonoma County’s wine and food under one roof in one afternoon!  Now in its fourth decade, the beloved Sonoma County Harvest Fair celebrates its highly anticipated Grand Tasting Event on Saturday, October 14th at 1 p.m. This year’s adventure will take place in the Tasting Pavilion at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds, and promises to be a delicious journey through the county’s finest foods and wines, a chance to participate and watch the World Championship Grape Stomp, enjoy an art exhibit and a classic car show.  Tickets are $75 per person, and a new VIP ticket is offered at $150. Tickets are available now at HarvestFair.org.

The Sonoma County Harvest Fair’s Grand Tasting Event offers guests the coveted opportunity to enjoy wines that received top scores in a rigorous and highly competitive Professional Wine Competition. With participation from over 100 local wineries, a wide selection of gold medal winners that often exceeds 450 selections will be available for tasting. Guests will also have the chance to meet folks from the winning wineries. An array of Sonoma County beers and hard ciders will also be available for tasting.

In addition, bites of the Harvest Fair’s award-winning food producers will be available. Culinary creators will share their appetizers, breads, charcuterie, olive oil, cakes, pastries, desserts and ice cream.  Art works will be on display and for sale by the talented creators from The Art Workshop of Western Sonoma County.

Guests with a VIP ticket will be admitted to the Tasting Pavillion an hour early (12 p.m) and will be the first to taste the wine and food winners.  The limited number of VIP tickets also include premium parking, and access to a designated lounge area with a curated special selection of wines for tasting. A designated driver admission ($50) will be available for purchase to all participants on the day of the event.

Come for the wine and stay for the World Championship Grape Stomp!  Cheer on the stompers and swabby’s, or grab a partner and participate. This popular event features teams of two competing for a grand prize of $1500. Looks count too, as there is a costume contest included in this event. Those interested in joining in on the fun are encouraged to sign up before the fair at HarvestFair.org. This event takes place outside of the Tasting Pavilion, is open to all ages for watching, and there will be a Grape Stomp competition for kids at noon.

Families may also take a nostalgic cruise through the collection of classic cars on display outside of the Pavilion, thanks to the Redwood Empire Regional chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America
