August 9th – Avaline, the organic and transparently-produced wine brand by Cameron Diaz and Katherine Power, has officially launched in select Whole Foods Market stores nationwide. This milestone new distribution kicks off with a summer program featuring the brand’s best-selling Rosé wine, which is now ranked the #4 ultra premium rosé nationally (CYTD ending 7/15/2023, IRI MULO, SPINS Natural Enhanced, and Nielsen Combined Liquor). Following the summer program, Whole Foods Market will pick up several of the brand’s items regionally including the Rosé, White, and Sparkling wines.
As we head into the fall, the brand kicks off its Organic Month campaign, which includes participation from several of Avaline’s key retailers who will be highlighting organic offerings during the month of September. Whole Foods Market is getting a head start on this program by showcasing wines Made with Organic Grapes starting in August.
Cameron shares her thoughts on Organic Month: “In the past organic has been seen as a small opportunity in wine, but things are changing. According to Mintel, 30% of consumers say they are interested in trying organic wines. They’re gravitating toward organic because it’s better for the environment, better for workers, and they feel better about drinking wine that’s not farmed with harmful synthetic pesticides.”
Melanie Mann, Global Wine Category Manager at Whole Foods Market, shares: “We are so excited for the launch of Avaline Wines and look forward to introducing them to our customers as we feature them in our ‘Made with Organic Grapes’ program this August and September.”
The addition of 370 Whole Foods Market stores puts Avaline in over 10,000 stores in the United States, up 45% from Q3 last year. Other major wins year-to-date include expanded distribution in Kroger, Target, and Total Wine & More.
Avaline is currently available in 49 states and Washington D.C. at most major retailers, now including Whole Foods Market, as well as online at drinkavaline.com.
