Purple Hands Winery Embraces the Future with a Stunning Rebranding of Their Iconic Oregon Wines

Dundee, OR, August 2023 – After 17 years of being at the heart of Oregon’s wine industry, Purple Hands Winery proudly announces an exciting new chapter in its journey with a comprehensive rebranding initiative. As part of this transformation, Purple Hands is introducing fresh, captivating labels on their wine bottles, while staying true to the traditional winemaking techniques and conveying an honest expression of their vineyards, that has made them an enduring favorite among wine enthusiasts.

The rebranding effort reflects Purple Hands Winery’s commitment to innovation and sense of place while maintaining the essence of their renowned wines. The elegant new labels showcase the winery’s unwavering dedication to site specific Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, that share the rich history of Oregon’s Willamette Valley.

“These new labels are a maturity of our brand: They highlight our intentions. Our focus on our Vineyards,” said Cody Wright, Winemaker and Owner of Purple Hands Winery. “They represent a natural maturity of our winemaking, and our commitment to showcasing the authenticity of Oregon’s terroir. They represent the natural maturity of Purple Hands Winery, with 2022 being our 17th vintage in bottle.”

The redesigned labels, conceptualized by designers at Pine Black, capture the spirit of single-vineyard Pinot Noirs and Chardonnay, showcasing the name of each vineyard front and center on the label, with a short in-depth description of the vineyard site on the back.

With a nod to the past and an eye towards the future, Purple Hands Winery assures wine enthusiasts that the same low-intervention and purity-driven approach will continue to define their portfolio. As humble shepherds of the grape to the bottle, they celebrate the evolution of the earth’s geologic transformation here in Oregon, and this special place in time that allows Purple Hands to showcase uncompromising expressions of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

The rebranded wines can now be found at retailers, and restaurants around the country.  Starting in Fall 2023, they will be available through Purple Hands Winery’s website and in their tasting room. Be sure to indulge in this exciting transformation and experience the authenticity of Oregon in every sip.

About Purple Hands Winery

Founded in 2005, Purple Hands celebrates site-specific Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that unearth the Willamette Valley’s long evolutionary history. Cody Wright, owner & winemaker, has been in the cellar his whole life, with stints at home and abroad— following in his family’s footsteps. Growing up with some of Oregon’s finest winemaking and grape-growing mentors gave Cody a passion for quality and a deep understanding of the work it takes to strive for excellence. The name Purple Hands is meant to depict this work: the work of harvest when your hands are purple and black, rugged from long days and nights of pushing yourself to create and sustain quality. Purple Hands is a message that showcases honesty and purity: in the name, in the vineyard, and in the wines. Using traditional winemaking techniques, they strive to produce wines that convey an honest expression of each of their vineyards—its grapevines and cultivation, soil and stone, sunshine and rain. All Purple Hands wines remain unfined and unfiltered at bottling to preserve their natural, pure character. Achieving elegance in this pursuit is the passion and art of their craft.
