International Cava Day Campaign Connects Cava with Art Through Innovative Graphic Design Competition

Vilafranca del Penedès, Spain, July 4th, 2023 –To celebrate International Cava Day, Cava’s regulatory board D.O. Cava has launched an interactive global digital initiative that invites design professionals and enthusiasts to think creatively about Cava and connect it to the world of art and graphic design.

The Cava Design Contest is a graphic design competition open to the public, under the hashtag #CavaDesignContest. To participate, candidates must submit a personal and unique design for a Cava bottle cap to be judged by an esteemed jury panel appointed by D.O. Cava, alongside renowned designer and illustrator María Diamantes, celebrated for her singular style consisting of simple yet bold silhouettes and a vibrant color palette.

The winning entry will be awarded an exclusive set of six bottles of Cava featuring their original design, which will also be featured on a limited-edition release of D.O. Cava bottles. Patrícia Correia, D.O. Cava’s communication director, states: “These limited-edition bottles will bring global visibility and recognition to the winning design”.

The Cava Design Contest is open to all individuals with a passion for design, regardless of their level of graphic design expertise, and aims to inspire Cava enthusiasts to unleash their creative side and present an original and captivating design.

The campaign has launched across D.O. Cava social media channels and can be accessed through the hashtag #CavaDesignContest. Participants may submit their designs through the official D.O.’s website by visiting https://www.cava.wine/en/discover/cava-design-contest/ no later than July 10th. The winner will be announced on International Cava Day, celebrated on July 12th.
