Constellation Brands Expands The Prisoner Wine Company Portfolio with Acquisition of Luxury Napa Valley Wine Brand, Domaine Curry

The acquisition further enhances the company’s higher-end portfolio and reinforces its ongoing commitment to female and minority representation within the industry

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, June 23, 2023  Constellation Brands, Inc. (NYSE: STZ), a leading beverage alcohol company, announced today that it has acquired Luxury Napa Valley wine brand, Domaine Curry, from Coup De Foudre Napa Valley. The brand will join The Prisoner Wine Company’s innovative house of brands, further enhancing its ASPIRA Fine Wine & Craft Spirits portfolio and commitment to investing in female and minority founders and entrepreneurs within the total beverage alcohol industry.

Co-founded by Ayesha Curry & Sydel Curry-Lee, Domaine Curry was created with an emphasis on quality and dedicated to the women in their family and future generations of women. The brand brings to life the expression “Femme 31,” a proverb of great meaning to the women in the Curry family, acknowledging them as virtuous, loyal, independent, and strong.

“The acquisition of Domaine Curry, a female- and Black-founded wine brand with a successful track record for entrepreneurship, storytelling, and community, provides an opportunity for us to partner with Ayesha and Sydel to build a uniquely positioned luxury wine and culturally relevant lifestyle brand,” said Bukky Ekundayo, VP/GM, The Prisoner Wine Company. “Bringing them into The Prisoner Wine Company portfolio builds on our history of expanding the luxury wine landscape with inclusive and progressive brands, wines, and values.”

“Food and wine have always been an integral part of our lives, and it has been a thrilling experience introducing our Domaine Curry portfolio to the world,” said Ayesha Curry & Sydel Curry-Lee, co-Founders of Domaine Curry. “We are so excited to partner with a company that shares our values and aspirations, that can also offer quality sourcing, expert winemaking, and best-in-class DTC, e-commerce, and hospitality resources needed to make more space for women of color in the luxury wine landscape.”

Constellation Brands Wine & Spirits division is building a bold and innovative, higher-end wine and spirits portfolio with distinctive brands and products, delivering exceptional consumer experiences. The company has reshaped its wine and spirits portfolio to become a leading global premium, fine wine and craft spirits house of brands that align with consumer preferences. With this acquisition, Constellation Brands Wine & Spirits will continue to target strategic growth across a global omni-channel strategy through U.S. wholesale channels, expansion of international business, and DTC acceleration.
