Sonoma, CA (June 14, 2023) – The magic of Sonoma Valley Museum of Art (SVMA) continues as they celebrate their 25th Anniversary! SVMA’s celebration of this milestone will be the 2023 Gala, 25 Years—The Magic of Art, being held on Saturday, July 8, at the Hanna Center. This magical evening will include entertainment by illusionist David Gerard. David charms audiences with his dazzling repertoire of enchantments, mind reading, and magic tricks.
The gala menu has been created by chef Catherine Venturini of Cuvée Wine Country Events will include local delights such as Tierra Farm Greens with Grilled Peaches, Spiced Chickpeas, Sheep’s Milk Feta & Cider Vinaigrette and Sonoma Red Farm Roasted Chicken with Maitake Mushrooms, Thyme Jus. Wines and spirits are generously donated by Far Niente Winery, Dysfunctional Family Winery, Hanson of Sonoma Distillery, Hughes Family Vineyards, JCB Winery, Kivelstadt Cellars, Sangiacomo Family Wines, Twomey Cellars.

Gala auction items include paintings by Chester Arnold, mixed media by Robert Hudson, sculpture by Judy O’Shea, plus a commissioned work by Pat Meier-Johnson. View a full list at https://svma.org/event/silent-auction/.
SVMA’s Gala is a critical source of funding for museum exhibitions and programs, including our art education programs such as Art Rewards the Student (A.R.T.S), which provides free art education for elementary students in Sonoma Valley schools. The Sonoma Valley Museum of Art is located at 551 Broadway, one half block up from Sonoma’s historic Plaza. Current Museum hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. General admission is $10, free for SVMA members and 18 and under; additional information is available at svma.org or by calling 707.939.SVMA. Wednesday is always free.
