Patron of the ‘Musique Et Vins Au Clos Vougeot’ Festival

June 12th – Deeply rooted in the heart of Burgundy, in Pommard, Château de la Commaraine is particularly attached to its Burgundy heritage. It therefore seemed only natural for the owners of La Commaraine, so committed to the region, to support local initiatives, especially cultural events.

This is also why, since 2017 the family has been carrying out major renovation work to restore the Château de la Commaraine, a gem of 14th and 15th  century architecture, to its former splendour. This sublime property will house an ambitious wine tourism project, with a 5-star hotel offering accommodation for Burgundy lovers scheduled to open in 2024.

In an extension of this major project for the region, Château de La Commaraine has offered its patronage to the Cité des Climats et Vins de Bourgogne which opens its doors for the first time in June, and to the Festival Musique et Vins au Clos Vougeot (Music and Wine Festival).

Created in 2007 by Aubert de Villaine and Bernard Hervet, one of the main tenets of the Festival Musique et Vins is to create a fusion between renowned international musicians and Burgundy winemakers. Following the recommendations of their artistic advisors, the talented musicians Gautier Capuçon and Jean-Yves Thibaudet, the Festival is continuing its support for promising young artists who appear alongside some of the greatest names in music. Over 10 days, Festival Musique et Vins au Clos Vougeot offers its public a chance to attend exclusive tastings and exceptional concerts, with sharing and simplicity in mind, in order to ensure this unique convergence of vinicultural and musical excellence continues.

This patronage of the Festival Musique et Vins is entirely in line with Château de la Commaraine’s vision: that of promoting uncompromising excellence and contributing to Burgundy’s appeal. A vision that they put into action every day in creating their wines and through their wine tourism projects.

The Festival Musique et Vins au Clos Vougeot runs from 24 June to 2 July 2023
