Joins California Urban Winery in Berkeley’s Drinks District
Berkeley, CA, June 2023 – Jeff and Jodie Morgan, proprietors of Covenant Winery in Berkeley, California are pleased to announce the appointment of Ted McArdle as Hospitality Manager for their urban tasting room and patio, located in the heart of Berkeley California’s Drinks District. McArdle hails from a background in hospitality and sales within and outside the wine business and brings a strategic playbook to the family-owned enterprise, where he will be focused on private events, programming, and wine club sales. Last summer the winery, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, debuted its outdoor tasting lounge, complete with a custom container bar and elegant outdoor seating. “I’m impressed with the layout here. It’s truly conducive to a wonderful tasting experience,” Ted says.
Covenant enjoys several strong club memberships along with DTC and wholesale market sales. This next step allows the family-owned winery to expand its event offerings both public and private, raise awareness in the B2B travel community and share its relaxed atmosphere and highly regarded wines with Bay Area residents and visitors who want to experience wine country without the 90-minute drive. The winery has a unique approach vis a vis other urban wineries in that it highlights many diverse American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) in its offerings, therefore giving the visitor a chance to experience California from the comfort of its stylish tasting room.
In the summer, the winery offers a Sunday afternoon concert series in full swing from April 23rd until July 30th.
