Chappellet Appoints Brennan Anderson as Vice President of Marketing

ST. HELENA, Calif. – May 17, 2023 – The Chappellet family is proud to announce the appointment of Brennan Anderson to the role of vice president of marketing. Anderson comes to Chappellet after 15 years at Folio Fine Wine Partners, where he was the vice president of marketing for the past eight years. As VP of marketing for Chappellet, Anderson will manage the iconic family-run winery’s in-house marketing team, which oversees both trade and DTC marketing, while also working with the Chappellet family and Managing Director David Francke to guide brand strategy and communications.

Brennan Anderson

Raised in Napa Valley, Anderson earned a BA in business economics from UC Santa Barbara, an MBA from the Babcock School of Management at Wake Forest University, and is a Certified Specialist of Wine through the Society of Wine Educators. After beginning his career at the advertising agency of Evans, Hardy + Young, Anderson followed his lifelong passion for fine wine to Terlato Wines, where he was the Illinois-based importer’s associate marketing manager. In 2007, he returned to Napa Valley to join Folio Fine Wine Partners as marketing manager, where he worked with David Francke and was responsible for luxury brands that included Ornellaia, Masseto and Bruno Giacosa. Promoted to VP of marketing in 2014, Anderson spent the next eight years guiding Folio’s marketing and strategic planning, while developing a portfolio featuring more than 40 brands and over 400 SKUs, with annual revenues of more than $100 million.

“With extensive experience on the trade side of the industry, and a proven track record of success representing luxury brands, Brennan is an exceptional addition to our team,” said Managing Director David Francke. “Not only is he a natural leader with a gift for understanding the nuances of the luxury wine market, he has a broad skillset that includes analytics, strategy, writing, and thinking creatively to drive consumer engagement. Just as important, he understands and embraces the values that have defined Chappellet for more than half a century.”

“Working in-house at an iconic Napa Valley winery of Chappellet’s stature has been a lifelong goal,” said Anderson. “What the Chappellet family has created on Pritchard Hill over the past 56 years, and their focus on mountain-grown wines, has influenced generations of Napa Valley vintners. At the same time, even after everything that they have achieved—whether in the areas of wine quality, community service, or sustainability—they continually find new ways to lead and raise the bar.”
