March 28th – Boston, MA – Modern Myth Wine Project, the brainchild of Gregg Berman (founder of Clown Shoes Beer), is proud to announce its debut product, Frankenrocker, a Côtes du Rhône red. The brand is focused on telling compelling stories using a unique synergy between the works of gifted visual artists and high-quality wines. 

Modern Myth Wine Project takes an innovative approach to the current wine market, one that combines bold creativity and passion to produce something not currently seen on shelves. As a long-time supporter of the arts, Gregg Berman wanted to create a brand that would celebrate the work of gifted artists and offer a unique experience to new and established wine consumers. With the Modern Myth Wine Project, he has achieved that goal. 

Frankenrocker, the first release from Modern Myth Wine Project, is a bold and flavorful Côtes du Rhône red that reflects the brand’s commitment to quality and innovation. Made with a blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah from an HVE Certified estate following sustainable agriculture regulations, the wine offers a unique flavor profile that is sure to delight.

The inspiration behind the name and label art comes from the Frankenrocker comic series, written by Roel Torres and illustrated by Lukasz Kowalczuk. 

Robert Howard, of Bad Kids Press (publisher of the Frankenrocker comic series), said “This is a cool and unexpected opportunity. Wine has always had a rich history of storytelling and for us to be a part of that is truly incredible. As comic book publishers, we always hope for the chance to share our creations with as many people as possible. We can now do that while sharing a quality Côtes du Rhône with friends and family. Finally, fans of the comic and comics in general will have the opportunity to explore a world that was previously unconnected.” 

Arborway Imports is the assigned distributor for Frankenrocker in Massachusetts, while additional markets will be added in the coming months. A second product is already in the works and will feature a label created by acclaimed local artist Raul Gonzalez III. “Red Menace” is scheduled to land in Massachusetts later this summer. Modern Myth Wine Project’s commitment to quality and creativity ensures that each product will be something truly special.
