2022, March 15 – Now that all the checks have been cashed, Paradisos del Sol Winery and Organic Vineyard is proud to report record Washington prices for several cultivars.
Vineyard del Sol produces WSDA Organic grapes from vines that haven’t been treated with any type of pesticide for the past ten vintages, including the many that are permitted by Organic and Biodynamic. It is a Zero Pesticide vineyard. It produces estate wines from the vineyard and has provided grapes to three other Washington wineries and two in Oregon
Vineyard del Sol, a vineyard in the Rattlesnake Hills AVA has set record prices for Washington state the past two vintages for Riesling, Chenin Blanc, and Sémillon. The average price of Riesling in 2021 was $775 per ton. Vineyard del Sol received $1,500 per ton in 2021 and 2022. Chenin Blanc and Sémillon averages were just over $1,000 per ton in 2021, Vineyard del Sol received $1,500 per ton on those two varieties also in 2021 and 2022.
The available 2023 grapes will be up for auction in late March since demand is far exceeding supply.
