(March 9, 2023; Snohomish, WA)— Scott Lloyd, general manager of Quilceda Creek Winery in Washington state, announced today that the winery has partnered with family-owned Jeroboams for United Kingdom distribution, marking the first time the critically acclaimed wines will be available on-premise to UK consumers.

“We are thrilled to partner with Jeroboams to bring our wines directly to our customers in the United Kingdom,” says Lloyd. “The UK has always been an important market for us and the team at Jeroboams reflects our values of family-centric, high-end service. We look forward to introducing our wines further to UK consumers through their valued retail relationships.”

Jeroboams traces its history back to the 1930s via the historical import company Laytons, one of the original importers of Domaine-bottled Burgundy, purchased by the company in the 1990s. Founded in 1985, Jeroboams currently has nine store fronts across London providing consumers with highly curated fine wines. One of the only merchants in the area with a three-pronged approach through retail, private clientele and on-trade distribution, Jeroboams specializes in Italy, Burgundy, Bordeaux, and Champagne with growing representation from top wineries in the USA, South Africa, Argentina, Australia and Germany.

“We have always deeply admired Quilceda Creek and their commitment to family ownership and quality,” says Jeroboams private sales manager Alex Turnbull. “Our clients constantly look to us for expert advice on exciting wines and we firmly believe that Quilceda Creek is one of the finest examples of Cabernet Sauvignon in the world. We are delighted that Quilceda Creek has entrusted us for their distribution in the UK, we cannot wait to offer these wines to our devout client base.”

Quilceda Creek’s critically acclaimed Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon will be offered for retail purchase through Jeroboams beginning with the 2020 vintage. The 2020 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon was released to wholesale this month and has already received a 100-point score from the International Wine Report and a 99-point score from critic Owen Bargreen. In 2005, the 2002 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon became the first wine from the United States outside of California to earn a 100-point score from Robert Parker. Since then, Quilceda Creek has continued to put Washington wines on the global stage with twenty 100-point scores across critic publications. About Quilceda Creek Winery

Quilceda Creek was established in 1978 by Alex and Jeannette Golitzin. The winery’s first vintage was in 1979, making Quilceda Creek the 12th oldest winery in Washington after prohibition. Alex Golitzin’s inspiration to start the winery was nurtured through many visits to the Napa Valley in his youth, where he spent time with his maternal uncle, André Tchelistcheff, the legendary Napa Valley winemaker known as the “Dean of American Winemaking.” Paul Golitzin joined his father as winemaker in 1992 and directs all aspects of vineyard management and winemaking. With a gifted palate and a no-compromise commitment to quality, Paul focused the winery’s attention on its greatest assets: the vineyards of the Columbia Valley. Quilceda Creek wines are an expression of three vineyards: Champoux, Galitzine and Mach One.
