The March event will welcome spring and the 2020 Estate Mourvèdre release.
Stonewall, Texas – February 27, 2023 – Kuhlman Cellars today announces a Blessing of the Vines: An Estate Celebration event on Sunday, March 26, 2023. The spring celebration will feature live music, a special Estate wine tasting, an event-only Estate Mourvèdre braised Beef Rib Bistro selection, Estate tours, an informal vine blessing ceremony at 3:00 PM, and the release of the highly anticipated 2020 Estate Mourvèdre.
The Estate Wines wine tasting will be available only on Sunday, March 26th. This tasting will include five Kuhlman Cellars Estate Grown Wines: the 2021 Estate White, Estate Roussanne, and Estate Rosé, plus the 2019 Estate Red and brand new 2020 Estate Mourvèdre. The tasting will be set up in several areas of the vineyard so that guests may taste the wines amongst the vines that grew the grapes. In addition, at each tasting stop, guests will have an opportunity for an informal discussion regarding a different Estate topic, including vineyard management efforts, wildflower propagation, Estate history; pollinator cultivation and Texas native plant selection. Tickets for this tasting are $22.50/person, or $10 for Vina Vita Wine Club Members (up to four guests).
There will be live music outside from 1-4 pm. The Blessing of the Vines ceremony will take place at 3 pm in the vineyard as a way to thank mother nature for her bounty and awaken the vines from their winter slumber.
