17th Annual Kosher Food & Wine Experience Showcased the Best in Kosher Wines, Spirits & Gourmet Foods at Chelsea Piers, Sponsored by Royal Wine Corp.

According to Jay Buchsbaum, VP Marketing & Director of Wine Education at Royal Wine Corp., “Kosher wine consumers are becoming more and more sophisticated, with discriminating palates and a demand for quality and taste equal to non-kosher brands. And, with Passover just around the corner (April 5- 13, 2023), seasonal demand for kosher wines is already ramping up.”

(Feb 13, 2023, NY, NY) – After a three-year hiatus the annual New York kosher food and wine extravaganza produced each year by Royal Wine Corp. was met with nearly 3,000 guests throughout the day and evening who were ready, eager and hungry to sip and savor everything new in kosher, once again.

The 17th Annual Kosher Food & Wine Experience held at Chelsea Piers at Pier 60 was filled from end to end with wines and sprits from every part of the globe, along with the ‘best of the best’ restaurants, caterers and dessert companies.

“The show underscores the vast array of kosher quality wines and spirits available on the market today, with hundreds of companies represented. And, the level and sophistication of the foods served up rivals any of their non-kosher counterparts,” said David Levy, the show’s marketing director.

Among the new wine releases featured were: 

Rimapere Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand’s Marlborough region, part of the Edmond de Rothschild Heritage estates; Razi’el, the new winery of the Ben Zaken family and owners of Israel’s flagship boutique winery Domaine du Castel, along with its traditional method rosé sparkling wine and award-winning blend of Syrah and Carignan.

Château Bellefont-Belcier, a Grand Cru Classé from Saint-Emilion, the latest producer to have joined the kosher wine bandwagon with its kosher cuvée 2020 vintage; Château Léoville Poyferré, a Grand Cru Saint Julien which has been making kosher cuvées since 1999 was also on hand with its 2020 vintage, marking the 100th anniversary of ownership by the Cuvelier family.

From Italy, Two Super Tuscans: Villa Mangiacane: Magnificus, and Terra di Seta Guiduccio. Both wines are blends of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Herzog Wine Cellars, Royal Wine’s own winery located in Oxnard, CA, showcased its line of award-winning wines, including the value line Baron Herzog as well as its high-end Napa Valley-grown Herzog Generation IX Stags Leap 2019.

Celebrity wines were served from notables such as Amare Stoudemire and Vera Wang, all imported by Royal Wine Corp.

Royal Wine was also proud to release Boondocks 18 Year Old Straight Bourbon Whiskey, the latest in Boondocks’ Signature Series Collection. This exceptional cask-strength bourbon will have a limited production of just 1,620 bottles, each individually numbered.

Like all of Boondocks’ premium whiskeys, ryes, and bourbons, this limited edition is created by the legendary master distiller David Scheurich, a 45+ year industry veteran and winner of the Whisky Advocate Lifetime Achievement Award.

Kosher Cuisine:

An outstanding representation of gourmet kosher food and desserts from New York’s top eateries were on hand to serve up fare that included classical French, Japanese, steakhouse favorites, traditional Jewish cooking, nouveau American, charcuterie, fusion, Caribbean, authentic barbecue, and Mexican, as well as gourmet desserts.

Among the participating restaurants, caterers and foods companies were:

Wall Street Grill, (Crispy Rice, Spicy Tuna / Spicy Salmon / Guacamole, with Sweet Soy, Spicy Mayo, and Jalapeno; -Thai Beef Bourbon Sriracha; BBQ, Tiger Sauce, -General Kame Chicken, Teriyaki Glaze and Tabasco Aioli, -Sliced USDA Prime Ribeye, Garnish & WSG Steak Sauce); Marble & Grain (Beef Nigiri with Wasabi Cream; Beef Carpaccio with Silan Molasses, Pistachio Dust and Pink Salt; Tomahawk Ribeye Steaks, with Horseradish Cream & Black Truffle Potatoes); Pizza Biza (Chicken Ailoi, Brisket Heaven, and Pastrami joy); Tuscanini, (Tuscanini olives, Tuscanini sundried tomatoes and calbrian peppers lemon oil, Tuscanini chestnuts, Tuscanini extra virgin olive oil and Tuscanini forest berry preserves, imported from Italy); and Miele Gelato & Sorbet (12 flavors of gelato, sorbet and alcohol-flavored sorbet), among others.

The Kosher Food & Wine Experience is produced each year by the Royal Wine Corporation and includes shows in New York City and Los Angeles as well as worldwide events in London and Tel Aviv.
