SipWell Brands has been appointed as the exclusive global travel retail distribution partner for Lind & Lime, the award-winning gin distilled in Edinburgh’s historic distilling district of Leith.
February 6th – Launched in 2018, Lind & Lime, distilled with 100% green electricity, produced with 100% organic ingredients, and packaged with 100% plastic free materials, doubled its gin bottling capacity in May 2022 and is already exporting to 24 countries worldwide including the US and Canada.
The agreement takes immediate effect, and the goal is for Lind & Lime to be available across all key hub destination airports including Heathrow, Schipol, Singapore, Istanbul, LAX and JFK.
For SipWell, specialists in global premium drinks, this addition represents the first gin in its portfolio which includes a diverse range of spirits brands from ultra-premium rum Dictador, Mexican tequila Casa Dragones and premium Caribbean rum, Black Tot – to whiskies The Glenturret, Finn Thomson Private Single Cask Collection, Port Askaig, Fable and Japanese single malt Karuizawa from Elixir Distillers.
Taking its name and inspiration from Dr James Lind, an Edinburgh educated Royal Navy surgeon who is recognised for developing the theory that citrus fruits such as limes could prevent scurvy.
Lind & Lime is a benchmark London dry gin with juniper at its core and a crisp, refreshing citrus character presented in a distinctively striking bottle.
The company’s co-founders Ian Stirling and Paddy Fletcher are also behind the new £12 million purpose-built ‘vertical’ Port of Leith whisky distillery, which is set to produce an entirely new single malt.

The company, founded in 2018 by whisky sector veterans Andrew Torrance and Calum Lawrie is a Scotland based sales, marketing and distribution drinks agency designed to help build global premium alcohol brands. Torrance previously worked with both Beam Suntory and William Grant & Sons and as Managing Director of The Whisky Shop and whisky brand Copper Dog. Lawrie held numerous roles at drinks giant Diageo and was Marketing Director at Copper Dog alongside Torrance. Lind & Lime
Lind & Lime Gin is forged from the talent, heritage and industry of Edinburgh and its historic distilling district of Leith. Founded in 2014 by two lifelong friends from Edinburgh with a passion for wines and spirits who wanted to create delicious, beautiful and sustainable products that tell stories about where they’re from.
Every ingredient used is organic, including the base Grain Neutral Spirit and Lind & Lime is currency in the process of securing their Organic Certification. The packaging is 100% plastic free, and the distillery is powered completely by green electricity.
