“Becoming a member with 1% for the Planet was a company-wide decision that just made sense. At its core, winemaking is agriculture and vineyard activities account for around 40% of wines’ total carbon footprint. Environmental conservation has always been a personal passion of mine, and Carboy as a whole is deeply committed to caring for our Planet and leading the charge in sustainability within the Colorado wine industry.” – Kevin Webber, CEO of Carboy Winery.
From grape to glass, Carboy is helping to shape a more resilient future for the Colorado wine industry. Through holistic vineyard management, water conservation, and innovative packaging solutions and tasting room tap systems, Carboy continues to reduce its carbon footprint while creating award-winning wines year after year.
Encouraging consumers to ‘Sip and save the Planet,’ Carboy Winery is proud to partner with Zero Foodprint through 1% for the Planet. With a mission of restoring the climate, one farm at a time, Zero Foodprint and its members crowd-fund grants for farmers to switch to regenerative farming practices and improve soil health. Zero Foodprint will receive 1% of every Carboy purchase across all four locations to support farmers and soil health in Colorado.
“Environmental organizations play a unique and critical role in solving the many challenges facing our Planet. Our driving goal is to increase support for these activist organizations by engaging businesses as funders and partners in the work. We believe deeply that by coming together, by accelerating smart environmental giving, we can create positive solutions to the complex environmental problems of our time.” – Kate Williams, CEO of 1% for the Planet.
Joining the 1% for the Planet movement is more than a donation; it’s a pledge to create a more sustainable environment and better future for all. By contributing 1% of annual sales, thousands of 1% for the Planet members have raised over $300 million to support approved Environmental Partners around the globe. Environmental Partners such as Zero Foodprint are approved based on referrals, track record, and environmental focus. Carboy Winery is proud to support Zero Foodprint through their 1% for the Planet membership and other local Colorado organizations to help reduce our carbon footprint and advance sustainability within the state.
