With a dedicated chef and seven charming rooms, Tenuta Luce offers guests a unique hospitality experience
Montalcino, January 18th, 2023 – Tenuta Luce, one of the most prestigious Tuscan estates located in Montalcino, recently announced an exciting new addition to its hospitality facilities with the opening of a new restaurant located next to the winery.
The winemaking philosophy of Tenuta Luce relies on the belief that wine must be the natural expression of the terroir that produces it, and the wine must reflect the specific qualities of the grapes that make it. The result is a masterful harmony between the grape variety and the terroir.
Every human intervention in the production process must be minimal and non-invasive, with the primary goal of preserving and promoting the natural harmony.
Faithful to this philosophy, the staff at Tenuta Luce is committed to providing an immersive, personalised experience to its guests so that they can fully appreciate the production approach of the estate. Tenute Luce is a unique locus in the world, both geographically and historically, where wine celebrates life, tradition, and culture.
Visits at Tenuta Luce, by reservation only, are planned in detail by trained professionals who take care of their guests right from arrival. Experiencing Luce from all angles includes walking through the vineyards of Merlot, Sangiovese, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes; touring the wine cellar, including the fermentation areas and the barrel cellar, and a tasting of Tenuta Luce wines (Luce, Lucente, Luce Brunello, Lux Vitis) in the exclusive room of the Wine Library.
The recent opening of the restaurant, located next to the cellar where Tenuta Luce wines are born and aged, offers a fitting crown to that experience. On the main floor, guests are welcomed by an elegant reception area with a fireplace and a warm, homely atmosphere. The restaurant, located above the reception, has an open-view kitchen and a stylish, modern look, with a magnificent view overlooking the vineyards. During the summertime, guests may dine en plein air on a spacious patio overlooking the garden, created by the landscape designer Richard Shelbourne.
The restaurant is open exclusively to Tenuta Luce guests and only by reservation, from Monday through Friday. The menu is created daily by the chef following the guests’ preferences and focusing on seasonal ingredients. Every dish showcases locally raised, traditional ingredients which follow the Tuscan tradition, reinterpreted by the chef in an original, innovative way. Each menu is meticulously paired with a selection of Tenuta Luce wines, so that it becomes a harmonious and comprehensive eno-gastronomic dining experience. All the wines of Tenuta Luce are available in the restaurant.

About Tenuta Luce
Tenuta Luce lies southwest of the town of Montalcino, in the heart of the Val d’Orcia Natural Park, a rural landscape sensitively re-designed by man in the pre-Renaissance era and declared by UNESCO in 2004 a World Heritage Site. This extraordinary corner of earth, historically renowned for its world-class wines, hosts the 249 hectares of the Luce wine estate, set among woods and olive groves, with 88 hectares of vineyards: a lightly inhabited, near-pristine environment rich in biodiversity. Its beneficial sunlight and well-ventilated conditions, gift of its unique exposure, and its diversity of soils at different elevations all combine to make Tenuta Luce a truly privileged place, where the harmony of all these components is jealously respected and protected. That respect is reflected in the winemaking as well, where each process of production is performed with meticulous care, in order to preserve the harmony achieved in the vineyard. The fruits of this enlightened philosophy and unique terroir are Tenuta Luce wines Luce, Lucente, Luce Brunello, and Lux Vitis, the culmination of an ambitious project begun in the early 1990s aimed at obtaining the fullest expression of the Montalcino territory yet with an utterly distinctive individual style. www.tenutaluce.com
