October 27th – Prestige cuvée rosé Elisabeth Salmon perfectly embodies the woman of great character who co-founded Maison Billecart-Salmon back in 1818: elegantly blended with a dash of  sophistication. It is now the year 2009’s turn to shine and finally reveal its essence,  showcasing our best terroirs of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay Grand Cru.

The incomparable expertise of Maison Billecart-Salmon in rosé champagne is reflected through this complex and delectable cuvée: a delicacy of textures and flavors arising from a precise and meticulous blend, combined with cold fermentation to preserve the purity of the fruit. The gracious effervescence of Elisabeth Salmon 2009 is punctuated by soft coppery shimmers, forming a sparkling ensemble of salmon-pink hue. Experience refreshing yet sultry sensations of citrus peel, red and black berry jelly. On the palate, the distinctive mouthfeel of harmonious flavors evolves towards a chalky edge and persistent finish of citrus zest. To enhance the aromatic and mineral charm of this cuvée, consider pairing it with seafood or poached lobster, tomato and rhubarb.

Available from independent wine merchants.

RRP: $225
