SingleThread Names New Wine Director

Chris McFall to Oversee Beverage Program at the Three Michelin-Starred Restauran

October 21st – Healdsburg, CA – Chef Kyle and Katina Connaughton are pleased to announce Chris McFall has moved into a larger role overseeing the entire beverage program as Wine Director at SingleThread. Most recently the restaurant’s Head Sommelier, the accomplished beverage professional first gained recognition in his hometown of Austin, Texas when he was named Best New Sommelier by Wine & Spirits Magazine in 2012 for his work at Paggi House. McFall later managed and developed noteworthy programs at two-Michelin starred Lazy Bear in San Francisco prior to joining the SingleThread wine team in the spring of 2020.

“I’m elated to continue the legacy of the Beverage Program at SingleThread,” said McFall.  “It is an honor to collaborate with the local and international winemakers that inspire us.”

McFall will oversee SingleThread’s highly curated, 150-plus page wine list that includes bottles from around the world with a special focus on Sonoma wines. A variety of specialty sake selections from SingleThread’s cellar, along with a vibrant zero-proof beverage program, are now under his purview as well. McFall worked with Little Saint Bar Director Matt Siegel and SingleThread Farm to expand the non-alcoholic initiative. In 2021, SingleThread received the coveted Wine Spectator Grand Award, which recognizes extraordinary wine lists, cellars and service across the globe – an award held by only 97 restaurants worldwide.
