About Sarah’s Vineyard
First planted in 1978 in the Hecker Pass district of Santa Clara Valley AVA by Marilyn “Sarah” Otterman. With early critical acclaim Sarah’s Vineyard quickly gained a following and became know for their Chardonnays and Pinot Noir. The property was purchased by current owner/winemaker, Tim Slater in 2001. Over the ensuing years Tim expanded the original plantings from 10 to 24 acres and has followed his passion to include traditional Rhone varietals as well as additional Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Tim also seeks out high quality grapes from grower in several regional AVAs like Santa Cruz Mtns and Santa Lucia Highlands for limited production runs.
