Napa, California (September 29, 2022) – Transitioning back from virtual to in-person, the Napa Valley Film Festival (NVFF) and the CIA at Copia will present the inaugural 2022 NVFF Film, Food and Wine Showcase, a new special event featuring four exhilarating nights of films, culinary experiences, and VIP guests. Set for November 10-13, the Showcase will be held at the CIA at Copia, the Culinary Institute of America’s food and beverage hub in the heart of Napa, California.

After celebrating the culture of film virtually for two years, NVFF returns to the Valley with a Film, Food and Wine Showcase featuring a curated group of four film screenings of 2022 films and honoree tributes that reflect some of this year’s most talked about films and performances. In addition to the film line-up, which will be announced shortly, the event will include special culinary events in tandem with the screenings, celebrating the food and wine culture evoked in each film. Partnering with the world-renowned Culinary Institute of America (CIA) at Copia, the accompanying dinners will be memorable culinary and wine artistic expressions that complement the cinematic experience.

“We are excited to announce the Napa Valley Film Festival 2022 Film, Food and Wine Showcase and are thrilled to continue our partnership with The CIA at Copia. We are eager to reconnect the Napa Community to storytellers. This one-of-a-kind weekend will re-establish our commitment to honor our legacy of connecting film, food and wine,” said Cinema Napa Valley (CNV) chair Rick Garber.

The four-day event will be produced by Jeromy Zajonc, who recently joined the NVFF team after spending 13 years at the California Film Institute, where he helped produce and popularize the Mill Valley Film Festival and DocLands Documentary Film Festival. “I am thrilled to work with the Cinema Napa Valley Board and partners such as the CIA at Copia to help create what will certainly be an outstanding event,” stated Zajonc.

“We look forward to once again collaborating with the Napa Valley Film Festival on this showcase that will bring our community together to celebrate some of this year’s best in cinema by bringing to life the culinary experiences central to each story. We love adding a delicious dimension to the film viewing experience,” said Thomas Bensel, CIA managing director, California campus.

Tickets will go on sale in mid-October. For more information, please visit www.napavalleyfilmfest.org.
