WINDSOR, Calif., August 29, 2022 – Today, California pioneer Sonoma-Cutrer, announces the release of 2019 Grand Brut Rosé, part of its highly-anticipated annual Winemaker’s Release. The Winemaker’s Release is a series of wines that showcases Sonoma-Cutrer’s commitment to artisan craftsmanship and showcases their unique, high-quality production practices.
The 2019 Grand Brut Rosé is a cuveé of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay fruit from two of the Russian River Valley winery’s most renowned vineyards, Owsley Estate and Vine Hill Ranch. This release from Pinot Noir Winemaker Zidanelia Arcidiacono showcases the Sonoma-Cutrer’s mastery of both grape varieties while continuing a tradition of innovation and experimentation.
“We are excited to introduce the Grand Brut Rosé, a unique addition to our Winemaker’s Release program,” said Arcidiacono. “It was amazing to create this perfect blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that has beautiful, bright fruit flavors and a perfect level of acidity.”
The 2019 Grand Brut Rosé is light pink in color, with aromas of hibiscus flower, red-sour cherry, and a touch of watermelon, which are complemented with fresh brioche bread and mandarin citrus notes. On the palate, the wine features notes of mandarin, kumquat, citrus fruit, a touch of wet stone minerality, and light cherry flavors that are balanced with Sonoma-Cutrer’s signature acidity. Pair this celebratory sparkler with goat cheese, fruit tarts, or fresh oysters with salmon caviar for a decadent experience.
Sonoma-Cutrer’s Winemaker’s Release 2019 Grand Brut Rosé (12%) is available for an SRP of $54.99. The wines will be available at select retail locations as well as direct from the winery at www.sonomacutrer.com.
