Visit Napa Valley, Napa Valley Vintners, and the County of Napa Announce Great Wine Capitals “Best of Wine Tourism” Regional Awards Submission Deadline

Submission Deadline: September 9, 2022–No Cost to Enter

August 10, 2022 – Napa Valley, CA – Together, the Napa Valley Great Wine Capitals delegation, comprised of Visit Napa Valley, Napa Valley Vintners, and the County of Napa, are proud to announce the open call for submissions for the “Best Of Wine Tourism” awards. These annual awards celebrate innovation and excellence in wine tourism throughout the greatest wine regions in the world. For Napa Valley, the awards program spotlights hospitality leaders for their commitment to excellence in delivering the highest quality experiences to visitors through seven categories:

  1. Accommodations (open to winery and non-winery businesses)
  2. Wine Tourism Restaurants (open to winery and non-winery businesses)
  3. Architecture & Landscapes (open to wineries only)
  4. Art & Culture (open to wineries only)
  5. Innovative Wine Tourism Experiences (open to wineries only)
  6. Wine Tourism Services (open to winery and non-winery businesses)
  7. Sustainable Wine Tourism Practices (open to wineries only)

Past Napa Valley winners have included such recognized leaders in wine hospitality and tourism as Carneros Resort & Spa, Poetry Inn, BRAND Napa Valley, Charles Krug Winery, Cakebread Cellars, Clif Family Winery, St. Supéry Vineyards & Winery, The Restaurant at Auberge du Soleil, Gott’s Roadside, Napa Valley Wine Academy, Laces and Limos, Napa Valley Balloons, Inc, and many more. Read more about past winners.

How to Enter

For the 2023 edition, visitor-facing Napa Valley businesses are invited to submit an entry in one or more of the above categories by visiting the online form. Submissions are due Friday, September 9, 2022. There is no cost to enter.

Reasons to Enter

Receive the recognition you and your team deserve through the Great Wine Capitals “Best Of Wine Tourism” awards. 

  • Shine in the Napa Valley Spotlight: Chosen by a jury comprised of wine and hospitality industry leaders, winners will be announced and spotlighted in front of an audience of your industry peers at the Visit Napa Valley Destination Symposium annual meeting on September 28, 2022. A communications campaign will then celebrate your leadership in Napa Valley tourism.
  • Take Center Stage with a Global Audience: Each Napa Valley regional winner will be submitted to the Global Best of Wine Tourism awards program for the opportunity for your organization to receive a global recognition award.
