Napa Winery Makes Key Hire of Veteran Direct-to-Consumer Sales Professional for Family-Owned Napa Estate Winery
(Napa, Calif.)—August 4, 2021—Ray Signorello, proprietor of Signorello Estate, a benchmark Napa producer of Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, today announced that he has named John Mangano Director, Sales and Consumer Experiences for the family-owned estate winery founded in 1977. In his new role, Mangano will oversee direct-to-consumer sales for Signorello Estate, including consumer tasting experiences and other direct sales channels. The winery at Signorello Estate was destroyed in the 2017 wildfires, and a new 28,000-square-foot winery and caves are under construction.
With more than twenty years of experience in the wine, restaurant, and hospitality industry, John Mangano has established himself as a leader, innovator, and master of the customer experience. Mangano joins Signorello from Foley Family Wines, where he most recently served as Senior Manager Consumer Direct. Before that, Mangano was the Senior Hospitality and Sales Manager for the highly acclaimed Merus Winery, successfully driving sales performance across all channels, setting sales records, and developing new service and procedural standards for the winery. He has also been the Director of Hospitality and Sales for B Cellars Vineyards and Winery, General Manager of Oakville Grocery, and General Manager/Wine Director at the Michelin-starred Etoile the Restaurant at Domaine Chandon. He has also worked for the Thomas Keller Restaurant Group, Solbar at Solage, and Oceanaire Seafood Room in Washington, D.C.
Mangano graduated from the Accelerated Wine and Beverage (AWBP) program at the Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena, CA, and received an associate degree in culinary arts management from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. He is pursuing his master’s certificate in hospitality management from Cornell University. He is a Certified Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers and a Certified Wine Professional through the Culinary Institute of America.
