Napa, California | August 3, 2022: Just in time for harvest, the Winery Compliance Training Academy has released its TTB Winery Harvest Compliance Training. This self-paced, online training course provides an immersive and comprehensive guide through the TTB (Alcohol & Tobacco Tax & Trade Bureau) required record keeping and activity for Harvest specific compliance.

Who Benefits From Compliance Training

Who should take this training? This course is ideal for anyone who’s unsure if their winery is keeping up with TTB requirements for harvest reporting. Those with uncertainties about tracking and reporting harvest activities correctly, and concerns about potential audits, can benefit greatly from course content. After all, harvest only comes once a year, making it challenging to remember reporting requirements!

For those with hesitations regarding accurate record keeping, and desires to get better organized and simplified for winery compliance activities, this multimedia course will put fears to rest and ensure it’s getting done the right way.

Course Content Focuses on the Federal Branch (TTB) Harvest Reporting Regulations

This course focuses specifically on Federal reporting requirements for the TTB 5120.17 report, which applies to all U.S. wineries. (The Winery Compliance Training Academy has a separate course for California wineries, How to complete the CA Grape Crush Report.)

What students learn:

  1. What items you need to be tracking and reporting
  2. How to design and fill out a weight tag
  3. How to design and fill out harvest activity work orders
  4. Clarity on how to fill in the harvest section of the TTB 5120.17 report
  5. How harvest records are connected to wine labels

What students get:

  1. 14 instructional videos which walk students step by step through the beginning, during and post harvest stages of compliance
  2. Examples of real world recordkeeping used for tracking wines during harvest (weight tags & work orders)
  3. 3 quizzes to review knowledge gained
  4. Certification of completion
  5. Live Q&A calls via Zoom with course creator Ann Reynolds where students can ask specific questions (total of 4 sessions)
  6. Recordings of Q&A calls in case students can’t make them in person
  7. Peace of mind it’s being done correctly

What Clients Say About the Course

“Ann is extremely knowledgeable, professional and a fantastic solution finder. She always has a positive way to execute goals. She has also been a great source of information for us and a valued consultant when having to navigate the waters on a county, state and federal level while juggling multiple permits in multiple locations. We haven’t thrown a scenario at Ann that she hasn’t been able to figure out for us.” – Rob Mondavi Jr, Winemaker Michael Mondavi Family Estate, Napa Valley, California

“My husband and I run a small winery, Wentworth Vineyard and Ranch and have worked with Ann Reynolds for two years now. Ann and her team are delightful to work with, professional and consistently responsive to the needs of our business.
