Featuring Four Exciting Days Of Wine and Food!
Livermore Valley, CA (June 20, 2022) – Taste Our Terroir, Livermore Valley’s premier wine and food event, returns for four delectable days as the historic region celebrates and educates wine lovers about its unique “taste of the land.” From July 14-17, Livermore Valley wineries will offer 13 events, including a winemaker dinner in an olive orchid, an electric bike tour, a wine and food pairing competition, and much more!

- Wine and Food Pairing Competition
Kicking off the festivities is the region’s signature Food and Wine Pairing Competition. Eleven Livermore Valley wineries are partnered with chefs from local restaurants to create signature bites to complement the wines. They will compete for prizes in a blind tasting overseen by Bay Area culinary and wine media judges. Guests will have the opportunity to be a part of the competition by voting in the People’s Choice category for the best team. They will meet the winemakers and chefs while sampling mouthwatering creations and an extravagant dessert buffet. A silent auction will feature a plethora of coveted items available for bid.

- This educational journey through the vineyards at Murrieta’s Well leads wine lovers on a hike with amazing views of the Livermore Valley as they learn about the winery’s “small lot” approach to wine growing. After the trek, handcrafted wines and small bites from the winery’s culinary team will be served. Murrieta’s Well, 3005 Mines Rd.

- Cheese Monger Brandon Wood from The Cheese Parlor will guide a pairing of artisanal cheeses and local wines, sharing behind-the-scenes knowledge of the cheese-making and aging process. Featured wines are from Fenestra Winery, Garre

- Cabernet Franc Retrospective
- 4-6pm
- Join Steven Kent Mirassou and the Lineage Wine Collection winemaking team as they discuss all things Cabernet Franc and how this varietal may be the future of world-class winemaking in the Livermore Valley. Learn about the history of this varietal while tasting samples from native France along with Cabernet Franc wines from the Livermore Valley. - Livermore Valley Vintners Collective Winemakers Dinner
- 6:30-9:30pm
- Set in an olive orchard at Purple Orchid Inn, this four-course farm-to-table dinner from On the Vine Catering will be paired with 2019 vintage wines from the Livermore Valley Vintners’ Collective. This group of winemakers created guidelines for a red blend that is designed to showcase the Livermore Valley growing region, as well as their own individual flair. - Pedego Wine Trail
- 9:30am-4:30pm
- Guests will enjoy a day of cycling to four wineries and will be provided with snacks, lunch, tastings, and educational tours. Stops include Page Mill Winery, Charles R Vineyards, Big White House, and Wood Family Vineyards. Start at Pedego, 1911 Second Street.
- Stop and Smell the Rosés
- 11am-1pm
- Taste and learn everything about rosé wine from four acclaimed women winemakers in Livermore Valley. Join Rosa Fierro from Rosa Fierro Cellars, Alexandra Henkelman from Omega Road Winery, Beth Refsnider from The Lineage Collection and Samantha Bunegin from Las Positas Vineyards for a tasting and discussion of each of their wines. - Taste the Best Cabernet Vintage in Decades
- 1:30-3:30pm
- Join the winemakers from Cellar 13, Cuda Ridge Winery, Darcie Kent Estate Winery, McGrail Vineyards and Winery, Wente Vineyards, and The Lineage Collection for a collective tasting of 2017 Livermore Valley Cabernet-based wines, considered to be one of the best vintages. - Secrets of a Sommelier

- Sommelier LeeAnn Kaufman spills the secrets of all things wine where guests will learn how to experience each bottle to its fullest including proper serving temperature, how to find that perfect glass, and much more. - Yoga and Rosé at Concannon Vineyard

- Certified Yoga Instructor Lisa Stanford will lead a class on the lawn outside Concannon Vineyard’s beautiful Victorian home. Yoga will be followed by a glass of rosé enjoyed on the breathtaking grounds. Concannon Vineyard, 4590 Tesla Rd.
- Sensory Extravaganza
- 1-2:30pm
- Join Sommelier Jeremy Troupe-Masi at a 16-foot sensory bar that will allow participants to look, smell, touch, and taste their way through more than 40 flavors and aromas. Enjoy wines from four wineries for this tasting. Wines will be paired with cheese selected by local Cheese Monger Brandon Wood of The Cheese Parlor. Nottingham Cellars, 2245 S Vasco Rd., Suite C.
- Sweet Endings, Port and Chocolate Tasting
- 3-5pm
- At the final event of Taste our Terroir weekend, guests will learn how port is made. Cedar Mountain’s Winemaker Earl Ault will pour white and red ports paired with a variety of chocolates. Cedar Mountain Winery and Port Works, 10843 Reuss Rd.
