(June 8, 2022; Oakville, Calif.)—Tom Gamble, one of the Napa Valley’s leading sustainable wine producers and regenerative farming advocates, is pleased to announce that veteran sales expert Jon Diaz will serve as Western U.S. Sales Manager for Gamble Family Vineyards and its new sister label, The Mill Keeper, launched in 2021. With over 22 years of experience in the wine industry, Jon will oversee wine sales in California, Colorado, Nevada and Arizona– in addition to spearheading the growth of markets in Alaska, Oregon, Washington and Utah. Jon will supervise regional sales teams and thoughtfully manage the long-term relationships that Gamble maintains with regional wholesalers and restaurants.

Prior to joining Gamble, Jon founded Leaderboard Wine Sales & Marketing, where he consulted for many luxury wine brands in navigating changing markets affected by Covid-19. Among his clients was Kimberly Jones Selections, which features top Napa brands such as Realm, Scarecrow, Maybach and Runquist.

Previously, Jon served in Sales Manager positions at R.H. Phillips for eight years and Middleton Family Wines for nine years.

Jon says he always felt drawn toward working with a high-end, family-owned brand that values sustainability. Gamble Family Vineyards offered that opportunity. “Integrity is the most important thing for me. I wanted to work with a people-centered company with a lot of integrity–not just in terms of how they treat people, but also in how they treat the land. That’s what initially drew me to Gamble,” says Diaz.

“We’re thrilled to have Jon on board,” says Tom Gamble. “His expertise and drive will continue to support the growth of Gamble Family Vineyards in key markets.”

About Gamble Family Vineyards:

Founded by third-generation farmer Tom Gamble in 2005, Gamble Family Vineyards owns approximately 175 acres of prime estate vineyards from many of Napa’s most respected AVAs—Oakville, Mt. Veeder, Rutherford and Yountville. Its winery and by-invitation-only tasting room have a quiet presence, sitting modestly in an isolated nook off Highway 29 in the heart of Napa Valley’s Oakville AVA. Set back from the main road, Gamble’s mission here is to carry on the heritage of farming that his ancestors sowed when they came to Napa as cattle ranchers in 1916. With a primary focus on Bordeaux varietals, including Sauvignon Blanc, all of Gamble Family Vineyards’ wines are produced in small quantities, with careful attention to farming. Winemaker Jim Close has been with Gamble Family Vineyards since its inception. Gamble Family Vineyards offers four wines through wholesale/distribution, including the Rosé ($26), Gamble Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc ($35), Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ($60), and Paramount Proprietary Red Blend ($90).
