Napa, California (June 8th, 2022) – Today, 19 Crimes Cali Red was recognized as the #1 selling single wine in IRI’s New Product Pacesetter history based on first year sales.*

IRI, a global leader in innovative solutions and services for consumer, retail and media companies, announced their 2021 New Product Pacesetters™ today, publishing their annual report revealing the top new product launches across food and beverage and nonfood sectors. This year, 19 Crimes Cali Red made the list of top food and beverage innovations.

We are excited by the success of 19 Crimes Cali Red. It’s been particularly encouraging to welcome new consumers to the wine category and build a wonderful partnership with Snoop Dogg. IRI’s announcement of 19 Crimes Cali Red as the #1 selling single wine in Pacesetter history is a great honor and sets the stage for an exciting future for the brand,” states Ben Dollard, Treasury Americas President.

19 Crimes launched ‘Cali Red’ in July 2020 as part of multi-year partnership with entertainment icon, Snoop Dogg. The first California blend for the brand, Cali Red, casts a contemporary lens on 19 Crimes, featuring Snoop Dogg as modern day culture creator and innovator. Since its debut, Cali Red has been named the #1 US Wine Innovation of 2020**, become a top 5 dollar growth item, and introduced 33% of new consumers into the wine category.

19 Crimes was the first wine brand to launch AR on their wine labels and continues to disrupt the wine industry. Cali Rose, the second collaboration with Snoop, was recently named the number 1 US Wine Innovation of 2021**, marking back to back innovation awards for the brand.

The recent addition of 19 Crimes Martha’s Chard, has added a new face to its lineup of boundary pushing characters, partnering with Snoop’s creative collaborator and friend, Martha Stewart. The California Chardonnay is seeing explosive growth and has already been recogonized as a top 5 dollar growth item by IRI.

19 Crimes turned convicts into colonists. In 18th-century Britain, criminals guilty of at least one of the 19 crimes, were sentenced to live in Australia, rather than death. For the rough-hewn prisoners who made it to shore, a new world awaited. As pioneers in a frontier penal colony, they forged a new country and new lives, brick by brick. Today, 19 Crimes wines celebrate the rebellious spirit of the more than 160 ,000 exiled men and women, the rule breakers and law defying citizens that forged a new culture and national spirit in Australia.
