Taste a Mendocino Original: 2019 Coro Mendocino Wines Unveiled

Annual Coro Mendocino Release Party, Saturday, June 11th, 2022, at Contento Vineyards

May 27th – Mendocino Winegrowers Inc. (MWI) is proud to host a “Singing Into Summer” Celebration on Saturday, June 11th, 2022, at Contento Vineyards, featuring the exclusive tasting of the 2019 Coro Mendocino wines. Crafted from varieties that have long been the hallmark of Mendocino County, including zinfandel, barbera, cabernet sauvignon, petite sirah and more, Coro wines represent the true essence of this bountiful AVA.

Coro dates back to 2000, when a group of Mendocino County winemakers joined together to create an ultra-premium wine blend to showcase the heritage varietal of Mendocino County, zinfandel. They named the new blend “Coro,” from the Latin for “chorus.” Every Coro wine is a signature blend, individually crafted in Mendocino County from 100 percent Mendocino County grapes, in strict accordance with the Consortium Mendocino Bylaws.

This year, after a long pandemic-induced hiatus, MWI is thrilled to bring together the winegrowing community once again, in a celebration of friends, great food and wines, and the good life in Mendocino County. Highlights of the evening will be a cornhole tournament, wine reception hosted by Coro Mendocino featuring the release of the 2019 Coro vintage, an assortment of whites and roses, gold medal winning Mendocino reds, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, music and a delicious barbecue dinner.  Enjoy the sweet sounds and tastes of summer with a party to remember in one of the most beautiful settings in Mendocino!

Tickets are $50 pp for MWI members, $65 for non-MWI members. Tables of 10 $400 for MWI members, $600 for non-MWI members. Purchase tickets online at www.mendowine.com.
