ABOUT IAN TODD BLACKBURN WINE EDUCATOR, SOMMELIER with 25 YEARS OF SERVICE

When you’re raised in a military family, drinking wine may not be the first idea that comes to mind, but that is what happened! Ian discovered the wine industry at the ripe age of 21 while working for top chefs in the formidable dining rooms of early 1990s Los Angeles.  His passion for wine blew the doors open – leading Ian to a career in wine education.

Now with 25 years of experience having traveled the wine world; Ian is a published author, has 10 vintages of winemaking (Beekeeper Cellars), and is considered one of wine’s best educators. Working with and alongside the world’s greatest wine brands for most of his adult-life and leading wine and culinary tours around the world, has given a few great stories to share. When covid shut down Ian’s event business, he pivoted and pivoted again. Eventually, he was able to restart virtually with new concepts like ZoomIntoWine.com and even turned his classroom into Merchantofwine.com, a retail wine store with wine delivered. Now, in an effort to restart in-person gatherings, LearnAboutWine.com has relaunched and is bringing Ian’s version of wine education and entertainment to a limitless audience.
