“Vintec is pleased to gather alongside many other key partners in Sonoma County to make a positive impact for the community,” said Terri Fenwick, Senior Director of Sales.

“We are so appreciative of our 2022 SCWA Honorary Chairs. The Foley Family has been incredibly supportive of our mission to put Sonoma County wines on a world stage and of our foundation initiatives,” stated Michael Haney, Sonoma County Vintners Executive Director. “They support many organizations across the country and we are grateful to always have their enthusiastic participation in our Sonoma County charitable programs.”

“We look forward to commemorating Chalk Hill Estate Vineyards & Winery’s 50th Anniversary and sharing our wines during the Sonoma County Wine Auction while making a difference in our local community,” said Courtney Foley, Second Generation Vintner at Foley Family Wines. She is the youngest daughter of Foley Family Wines’ Proprietors Bill and Carol Foley, who purchased the iconic Chalk Hill property in Sonoma County in 2010. Courtney has been instrumental in instilling sustainability at the forefront of Foley Family Wines’ values, including focusing on the social sustainability of the people who farm and work to craft the wines in their growing portfolio. “As stewards of these distinctive properties and especially our family home at Chalk Hill, we take our legacy very seriously. We endeavor not only to take special care of the people who work at these sites, but also of the land, and the site-specific wines that we are so fortunate to be able to make.” Properties owned by Foley Family Wines in Sonoma County include: Banshee, Chalk Hill Estate Vineyards & Winery, Ferrari-Carano, Foley Sonoma, Lancaster Estate, Roth Estate Winery, Sebastiani, and Chateau St. Jean.

The Sonoma County Wine Auction has raised millions of dollars used to support more than 400 organizations since its inception and has been named one of the nation’s top charitable wine auctions by Wine Spectator. It brings the region’s renowned winemakers and growers together with distinguished collectors and generous bidders for an opportunity to acquire some of Sonoma County’s top wines and bid on once-in-a-lifetime travel experiences. Funds raised support organizations with a focus on literacy, education, health & human services, the environment, arts & culture, and fire relief. To date, these funds have supported more nonprofits than any other fundraising event in Sonoma County.

“Our Sonoma County community has faced incredible challenges these last few years and the need for assistance is greater than ever,” said Sonoma County Vintners Foundation President Mark Malpiede. “We are fortunate that SCWA brings together the generosity of our wonderful wine community and guest bidders to invest in our community every year.”

“We’re extremely grateful for the contributions from organizations like SCVF that enable us to provide services,” said Chris Kughn, CEO of Buckelew Programs, a Sonoma County nonprofit behavioral health organization working to promote recovery, resilience, and hope, by providing support services that enhance the quality of life while advocating for access to mental health for all. “SCVF’s grants have been used for client needs such as one-time rental deposits, which are returned when a client moves; assistance with payment for necessary utilities like electricity, water and phone; and food purchases from the Redwood Empire Food Bank to ensure clients in Sonoma County have enough to eat.”
