The Italian wine family wins by positioning people at the centre of the company philosophy.
Positive balance for the Piccini 1882 group, which sees turnover increase by 40%. A recipe for growth which passes through social responsibility, contact with the consumer, and sales channels differentiation. The human factor is at the center.
January 11th – 2021 which, although started with the aftermath of the pandemic situation, for the Piccini 1882 group is coming to an end with significant signs of growth both in terms of turnover, with approximately 100 million euros reached and divided for 32% in Italy and 68% outside national borders, that of sales volumes. These have increased thanks to a leading foreign sector which has marked a + 50% followed by the e-commerce channel. Great results resulting from a virtuous strategy born from the will of Mario Piccini, owner of the company, to invest in two aspects in particular: the development of social responsibility and the diversification of sales channels, always putting people and corporate well-being at the centre.
“We have tried to deal with the difficulties generated by the pandemic situation with energy and determination, bearing in mind that the difference, especially in times of crisis, is always made by people” -comments Mario Piccini, CEO of the company – Hence the choice to further diversify the channels through we reach and stay close to the consumer. We were able to reorganize ourselves taking into account the difficulties experienced by the operators of the on trade and by choosing to enhance our presence in large retailers and, above all, in e-commerce. A growth that also involved the staff of our company, reaching 99 specialized employees within the group. Even in a period of crisis like this, it was essential to decide to invest in human resources and the results show it”.
A far-sighted and highly targeted project, the one launched within the Piccini group which in this last year has paid particular attention to the issue of corporate social responsibility also through the launch of a social reporting process for the group itself. Piccini 1882, today represents one of the most dynamic and innovative realities of the entire Italian wine scene with 5 estates that together have over 200 hectares of vineyards. An innovation that necessarily passes through the positioning of human resources at the centre of the company philosophy, enhancing the staff and implementing proximity to them. These are the cornerstones that have allowed the Piccini 1882 group to implement such positive growth for most of 2021.
