January 11 – (WALLA WALLA, Wash.) — February in Walla Walla is anything but sleepy when the town buzzes with culinary splendor as Walla Walla Restaurant Month unfolds. Entering its 11th year in 2022, the month-long celebration will bring prix fixe menu offerings, lodging packages, wine tasting specials, and more to epicure-minded diners.

Widely recognized as the unofficial capital of Washington wine country, Walla Walla was recently named Sunset Magazine’s ‘Emerging Wine Route’ in the 2021 Sunset Travel Awards and is a two-time consecutive winner of the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Award for America’s Best Wine Region (2020 & 2021). While wine shines in Walla Walla, the town’s agricultural roots and farm-to-table culinary scene share a leading role in the overall experience for oenophiles and gourmands both near and far.

With more than 30 participating businesses, Walla Walla Restaurant Month has a variety of offerings to explore. Building off last year’s momentum, Walla Walla Restaurant Month will present three different prix fixe options at participating restaurants, ranging from $19 to $39, along with special deals at participating breweries and wineries.

“Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner, we invite visitors and locals alike to take a front-row seat at the table, booth, or barstool and sink their teeth into all that makes Walla Walla delicious,” says Cara Jacobson, director of marketing for Visit Walla Walla. “As a deeply-rooted agricultural community it should come as no surprise that Walla Walla’s culinary scene is on par with cities many times its size, with homegrown talent, James Beard finalists, and other highly accomplished chefs who showcase their creativity and talent daily.
