Napa County Farm BureauNovember 17th – Napa, CA — The Napa County Farm Bureau is excited to announce its Giving Tuesday annual foundation fundraiser supporting ag education and ag youth in the Napa Valley.

As we celebrate the end of harvest and look forward to the upcoming holiday season, we invite our community to participate in GivingTuesday this month, an annual fundraising effort that the Napa County Farm Bureau Foundation undertakes during the month of November to continue all of the charitable ag education and ag youth work our foundation does on behalf of our Napa Valley community.

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of giving. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give and collaborate with their favorite non-profit organizations in the month of November.

“This year, the Napa County Farm Bureau Foundation, the charitable arm of the Napa County Farm Bureau, has undertaken a wide range of efforts for our Napa Valley community continuing important ag education efforts in Napa County to ensure we cultivate the next generation of ag professionals in the Napa Valley,” said Ryan Klobas, Chief Executive Officer of the Napa County Farm Bureau and Napa County Farm Bureau Foundation. “Moreover, we’re particularly proud of our foundation work leading COVID-19 vaccination efforts for our Napa Valley ag workers and making their health and safety a top priority,” said Klobas.

Among many our many accomplishments this year, some of our highlights include:

  • College scholarships for Napa County high school seniors pursuing college study of agriculture
  • COVID-19 relief efforts for farm workers and their families
  • Leading the effort to get over 2,500 ag workers vaccinated for COVID-19
  • Supporting Napa County 4-H and FFA students’ ag education
  • Continuing education vineyard and winery classes for Napa County ag workers

We undertake an annual fundraising drive once a year during this time to ask our community to generously give to the Napa County Farm Bureau Foundation and ensure that we are able to continue the charitable work that our foundation performs to benefit our Napa Valley agricultural community and community at large.
