Invivo Wines Appoints Global Sales Director

Auckland, New Zealand, Tuesday 28 September: New Zealand’s Invivo & Co welcomes Bernard Budel to the team in a newly created role of Global Sales Director.

September 28th – In the U.S. Budel will be working with Taub Family Selections, importer of the Invivo X, Sarah Jessica Parker wines. The line includes the popular and three times 90-point rating Invivo X, SJP Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, created with activate participation from Parker, who is currently filming the Sex and the City re-make.

Budel began his career at Villa Maria Estates where he worked for eleven years both in the domestic and export teams in New Zealand, UK and Europe. Budel has most recently served as Sales Director at Red Bull NZ, after spending time in Australia working in the beverage industry.

Budel comments: “I have always enjoyed working in entrepreneurial businesses, and it is an honor to represent New Zealand wines on the world stage. We’ve had extraordinary success with Invivo X, Sarah Jessica Parker wines in the U.S. with TFS, and I look forward to amplifying that growth going forward.”

Invivo & Co is tipped for future growth in the USA as it expands the footprint of Invivo X, SJP since launch in September 2019. Invivo X, SJP Sauvignon Blanc and Invivo X, SJP Rosé from the South of France are now available in all 50 states and DC both through retail stores and online via Gopuff, Wine.com, Vinporter and Drizly.com.

Invivo Co-founder Tim Lightbourne says the appointment is a positive step for the business, attracting the calibre and talent the likes of Budel shows what the business has achieved to date: “Bernard has an extensive background in wine along with building global brands. With Bernard on board, we are looking forward to working closer with our local and international customers, along with building the global sales team and launching further innovative beverages.”
