Rochester, NY (August 17, 2021) – Black Button Distilling is excited to announce it has earned a rank on Inc. 5000’s prestigious list of fastest-growing private companies in America for the fourth time. Listed as No. 2019 on 2021’s list, the honor is especially meaningful after a year of COVID-related challenges.

Despite a tough market, Black Button Distilling was able to overcome many obstacles and maintain steady growth while prioritizing a number of giveback initiatives throughout the past year. This includes the donation of over 10,000 bottles of ethanol-based hand sanitizer to those in need at the height of the pandemic and over 1,600 additional gallons to help maintain safe polling sites during the presidential election. As testament to their unwavering support of the local community, Black Button Distilling also successfully petitioned the city of Rochester to open the “Railroad Street District,” a dedicated outdoor strip that renewed hope for citizens as the world opened back up to encourage the local economy.

To end the year on a high note, the company took a stand for fellow distillers by fighting to uphold the Craft Beverage Modernization and Tax Reform Act in Congress, which ultimately passed thanks in part to efforts of President and Master Distiller, Jason Barrett. Now more than halfway into 2021, Black Button Distilling has cemented its status as one of the top grain-to-glass craft distilleries in the country with yet another Inc. 5000 ranking.

“After 18 hard months amidst an ever-changing world, I could not be prouder of all that our team has accomplished and the growth we have achieved,” said Barrett. “To see our names yet again on the Inc. 5000 list, four out of the last five years, is truly a testament to the fine folks who come to work at Black Button Distilling every single day.”
