Stags’ Leap Winery, Beaulieu Vineyard, Etude Winery, and Beringer Vineyards are Among California’s Most Sought-After Wine Brands

New York, NY (July 26, 2021) – Treasury Wine Estates (TWE), headquartered in Australia and one of the world’s largest and most admired wine companies working across three continents, announces today that it has named award-winning public relations agency Magrino PR as its agency of record to spearhead media relations for select California wineries within the US market.

In the Americas, Treasury’s portfolio includes landmark Napa Valley producers Stags’ Leap Winery, Beaulieu Vineyard, Etude Winery, and Beringer Vineyards, alongside numerous other renowned international brands. Magrino’s public relations focus will be on the aforementioned four estates, highlighting their unique histories, qualities, and innovations.

“Treasury Wine Estates is extremely happy to bring four of our most beloved and historic California producers to the forefront of the American market,” says Carl Evans, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Treasury Wine Estates. “Consumers, collectors, and the trade all know these wineries as singular Napa Valley benchmarks, and we are excited to partner with an agency as respected as Magrino to share their individual legacies in a deeper way through creative, targeted activations and strategic media relations.”

Beaulieu Vineyard

Beaulieu Vineyard (BV) is the historical progenitor of the “cult Cabernet” category and known for its legacy of innovation driven by the contributions of such luminaries as founder Georges de Latour and enologist André Tchelistcheff.  Today considered a classic and one of the original producers of premium California Cabernet, the winery has maintained its cultural relevance for more than a century. Crafted by acclaimed winemaker Trevor Durling, the winery’s complex expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon are the apotheosis of old-school Napa and are considered fundamental labels-to-know for both collectors and casual wine lovers.

This fall, Trevor Durling and Beaulieu Vineyard will embark on a multi-city media tour inspired by Georges de Latour’s 1925 Cadillac, in which he iconically cruised Napa Valley and visited vineyard sites.

Beringer Vineyards

The longest continually operating winery in California, Beringer has been Napa Valley’s benchmark producer since its establishment in 1876. Founded by German immigrant brothers Jacob and Frederick Beringer, the winery’s launch is a uniquely American story animated by optimism, entrepreneurialism, and old-fashioned hard work. When so many others rushed to California blinded by gold, the Beringer Brothers saw something more fruitful—and their namesake winery has been innovating ever since, growing into an unparalleled collection of vineyards producing world-class wines, while also becoming a pioneer of Sonoma’s Knight’s Valley AVA. Winemaker Ryan Rech carries on Beringer’s historic legacy, crafting wines that are collected and enjoyed worldwide.

Etude Winery

Etude Winery is rooted in Pinot Noir, a variety which thrives in the cool-climate Carneros region. Named after the French word for “study”—and founded on the low-intervention philosophy that exceptional winemaking begins in the vineyard long before harvest—Etude has continued to build upon its established legacy of exemplary Pinot Noir by transforming the very finest Carneros and Napa Valley grapes into world class wines, including exceptional expressions from Grace Benoit Ranch vineyard sites. While winemaker Jon Priest has succeeded in Etude’s pursuit of world-class, uncompromising Pinot Noir, the estate has also developed a loyal following for its expressions of Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Merlot.

Stags’ Leap Winery

Stags’ Leap Winery was established in 1893 in the eponymous Stag’s Leap District and continues to use traditional techniques to create estate wines from a 240-acre property situated on dark, well-drained volcanic soils. While best known for its classic Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, this authentic, time-tested brand is also admired for its expressions of Sauvignon Blanc, Petite Sirah, and Viognier. Winemaker Christophe Paubert practices a meticulous, hands-on style of winemaking that emphasizes balance, with a goal to convey the essence of this rarified terroir.

Throughout 2021 and 2022, wine lovers will be invited to “take the leap” into new dimensions of a multi-faceted, much-loved terroir through an exciting augmented reality experience tied to Stags’ Leap’s labels.
