(July 14, 2021; Yountville, CA) — Cliff Lede Vineyards is proud to present the artwork of Tom Everhart in the newest exhibit in its Backstage Tasting Lounge and gallery.

The Napa Valley winery, located in the Stags Leap District, is known for premium Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as a noteworthy collection of fine art and rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia—all expressing owner Cliff Lede’s love of music, wine and art.

Everhart, a Yale-educated artist based in Venice Beach, Calif., paints characters from the “Peanuts” comic strip amid bursts of color and vivid moments of experience. His expressive canvases and mixed-media works depict Snoopy and his pals tumbling through enormous ocean waves, baying at the moon and “kicking it” in a hipster hat that swallows Snoopy’s entire body. Everhart’s art is life-affirming and filled with joy, sly commentary and humor, creating an exhibit that feels completely in tune with the moment.

Schulz’s death in 2000. Today Everhart is the only artist permitted to use imagery from the “Peanuts” strip.

His Schulz-inspired work has been exhibited in museums and high-profile galleries around the world, including the Louvre in Paris and the Suntory Museum of Art in Tokyo, and he has developed a following among rock ’n’ roll art collectors. The pieces in the Backstage show are available for purchase through Area Arts.

Backstage, the private tasting room and gallery at Cliff Lede, has hosted a series of exhibits exploring rock music, rock musicians and popular culture since it opened in 2005. Along with Everhart’s works, Backstage is also currently displaying pieces by Jefferson Airplane’s Grace Slick.

Backstage is open 10:00 am to 4:00 pm daily, by reservation only. Tastings are $90 and focus on single vineyard, appellation, platinum, and library wines. Groups are limited to no more than six.

Cliff Lede Vineyards will host an exclusive opening reception for the exhibit on July 15 from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to the contact below.
