Kirkland, Wash. (June 23, 2021) – Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, the company that put the Washington state wine industry on the map, today announced the opening of a new immersive tasting room in downtown Kirkland known as the Blend by Ste. Michelle.

“The wines featured at The Blend are some of the most beloved and critically acclaimed in Washington State,” said David Dearie, President and CEO of Ste. Michelle Wine Estates. “Our customers have been wanting to experience these wines together, in one location, for some time so we are pleased to be able to deliver this new experience. The Blend is a true celebration of Washington wine.”

The Blend by Ste. Michelle will offer rotating tasting flights and small bites that highlight the distinct growing regions and styles of Washington state wines. July flights include Que Syrah, Syrah, July Bright Whites and Red, White and Brut, with featured wines from Chateau Ste. Michelle, Columbia Crest, Northstar Winery, Spring Valley Vineyard and Tenet. Also launching with the tasting space is a new wine club—Blend 42— allowing customers to mix and match their wine shipments from across featured wineries in top growing areas of the 42nd state.

“We are thrilled to be joining the downtown Kirkland community,” said Francis Perrin, Chief Marketing Officer for Ste. Michelle. “Our extensive portfolio allows us to showcase the best of Washington State and this new space in the heart of Kirkland gives us even more opportunity to connect with wine lovers on this side of the Cascade Mountains. The Blend is an intimate, luxurious experience, complementary to what we offer at the Chateau.”

Located at 15 Lake St. Suite #200, and sharing a space with Sotheby’s International Realty, the Blend by Ste. Michelle will have its grand opening on July 1, 2021. In addition to winemaker dinners and terroir-driven events, summer offerings at the Blend will include prechilled grab-and-go bags of white, rosé and sparkling wines curated for enjoying a day out on Lake Washington.

The hours of operation at opening will be Thursday to Sunday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Due to COVID-19 protocols, reservations are currently required at the new tasting room, and groups are limited to six people. Reservations can be made by calling 425-588-3830 or 844-511-3831 and online at theBlendWA.com.
