purfresh clean logoJune 1st – Purfresh Clean, an agtech company whose mission is to improve wine quality and to save wine harvests from smoke taint caused from wildfires, is inviting all vintners in Sonoma and Napa to a wine tech open house – June 7-10. The company will demonstrate its oxygen-3 / ozone technology that is now being used across the US West Coast to treat harvested wine grapes before crushing to improve overall wine quality and remove or reduce smoke taint molecules (methoxyphenols) from wine grapes.

Purfresh Clean’s equipment was used at multiple wineries in Sonoma, Napa, and Oregon during the 2020 harvest to impact quality, taste, color, ripening and stability and remove smoke taint from fires. Wineries that used the system were able to process and sell significant percentages of their harvests without any major declassification or bulk sale for blending to treat grapes after harvest to improve the fermentation process and break down the compounds that cause smoke taint in the wine.

Food and refreshments will be provided. There is no cost to attend this event. This is an open house schedule at two locations over four days.

Sonoma County – June 7 and 8 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Tips Roadside – 8445 Sonoma Hwy, Kenwood, CA 95452

Napa County – June 9 and 10 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, 905 Main Street, St. Helena, CA 94574 (Next to Yao Family Wines), Corner of Main St and Charter Oak Ave, St. Helena
