The Cameo and Charles Krug host a Drive-In series starting May 5

ST. HELENA, Napa Valley, April 2021– St. Helena’s beloved Cameo Cinema is staging drive-in movie events at Charles Krug Winery, using their 30-foot outdoor AIRSCREEN.  Charles Krug Winery is located at 2800 Main Street in St. Helena. “The Cameo Cinema and Charles Krug Winery are elated by the opportunity to bring the community together. We will maintain social-distancing practices as well as masking protocols for our guests,” explains Cameo Cinema owner Cathy Buck.

Cameo Cinema’s Drive-In at Charles Krug Winery will screen a variety of blockbuster hits, all beginning at 8:15 p.m. Tickets are $40/car and must be purchased in advance. Popcorn will be available, but must be ordered in advance with ticket purchase.

The series begins with a screening of Casino Royale on May 5. Purchase tickets here.

The series will be continuing through the summer.

Before each screening, Charles Krug Winery will host a special “Happy Hour” experience at 6:30 pm. Signature Charles Krug Wines and Charcuterie will be available for purchase on site, to be enjoyed in the picnic area. Seating is limited so bringing picnicking supplies such as blankets or lawn chairs are encouraged.

No outside food or drink is allowed at the Winery or picnic area.  However, you may bring food and drink to enjoy in your car during the movies.  Alcohol will not be permitted in the actual Drive-In parking area.

Three delicious meal options will be made available for pre-order from Tre Posti. Meals will be themed for each film and will only be available for purchase prior to each event.

About The Cameo Cinema

Gracing St. Helena’s Main Street since 1913, the Cameo experience is as unique as its audience. Thanks to Friends of the Cameo donors, it is the only single screen movie theater in the United States with a 6k Barco Laser Cinema Projector and 7.1 Dolby Atmos Sound. The house has 140 seats, including several ‘love seats’ for date night, as well as ADA seating. Cameo Cinema Foundation, CCF, is a non-profit 501c3 organization whose mission is to preserve and advance the Cameo Cinema. Its goal is to raise the needed funds to maintain the Cameo as a community asset. Donations safeguard the historic theater and ensure that the Cameo can continue to innovate, entertain, and offer inspiration to the Napa Valley for generations to come, just as past generations have done for over a century.  More information.

About Charles Krug:

In 1943, Italian immigrants Cesare and Rosa Mondavi purchased the historic Charles Krug property, Napa Valley’s oldest winery and the longest-running tasting room in California. The business was built on a foundation of family values, hard work and the European winemaking tradition; it remains a family-owned winery today, producing exceptional, estate-driven Napa Valley wines. The wineries operate under the direction of Peter Mondavi Jr. and Marc Mondavi, third-generation proprietors whose predecessor was the legendary Napa Valley icon Peter Mondavi Sr. The family is now proudly in its fifth generation, continuing a legacy started over 75 years ago and setting a framework for generations to come.
